Edward E. Stokes, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Edward Ellsworth Stokes Jr. Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by the Florence S. Bush Angel Foundation, was established to help minority students realize their dream of pursuing higher education. At least a $1,000 scholarship renewable for 4 years will be awarded to a graduating high school senior.
Application Guidelines

The application and essay should be typed and free of grammatical errors.

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Attach an official high school transcript, resume, and graduation photo for the FSBAF website to the application.

Submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, employer, or coach.

Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the student’s college or university.

The scholarship decision will be announced mid-June 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must:​

Be a graduating high school senior from the Class of 2023 planning to attend college.

Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Identify as an African-American student.

Be willing to submit financial forms upon request.

Scholarship renewal is at the discretion and availability of funds by the FSBAF scholarship committee.
